Guild of Bl Titus meeting on Saturday 15 September -- with many of your favourite bloggers, including the fantastic Fr Z!

This Saturday, 15 September, will see the third meeting of the Guild of Blessed Titus Brandsma. All Catholic bloggers, online commentators, blog readers and followers, and users of the new media are warmly invited to attend.

The day will begin at 10.30am with Low Mass celebrated by Fr Rupert McHardy Cong.Orat. in the Chapel of the Seven Dolours at the Brompton Oratory (London). Fr McHardy has also kindly agreed to give a talk to those present, before an informal meeting of the Guild is held.

A blognic is scheduled to begin around 1.00pm at the The Hour Glass pub, near the Oratory.

Richard Collins (Linen on the Hedgerow) has just received confirmation that the popular priest-blogger Fr John Zuhlsdorf (Fr Z -- WDTPRS) will be present (Deo volente) at the Guild meeting and blognic. Fr Tim Finigan (The Hermeneutic of Continuity) also hopes to be present in the afternoon. Many other Catholic bloggers and users of the new media plan to be there, too.

So, if you are in London this coming Saturday, why not join us, either for the whole day or for the blognic in the afternoon? It promises to be quite a day!

  1. Dear Friends

I have attended the first two meetings of the Guild of Blessed Titus Brandsma at Our Lady of the Rosary, Blackfen. Unfortunately I cannot make todays meeting at the Brompton Oratory as I have to make a FARE* presentation to my Colyers Ward Councillors at Parkside Cross in the London Borough of Bexley with regard to the critical £128 M Thames Gateway City Challenge regeneration scheme for the Larner Road Estate where I live.

After this CRISIS meeting it is my intention to attend the SAVE THE NHS demonstration that is planned for General Gordon Square in Woolwich, after which I will interact with the TOUR DE HORSE exhibition at the Stephen Lawrence Gallery

Also I'm sure you will pleased to hear that my son Michael Roy (23) has been apppointed as a lecturer at St Mary's University Twickenham who had a great 2012 Olympics with Michael's friends Andrew Osagie and Mo Farer making finals and winnning gold medals respectively.

God our Father, source of life and freedom, through Your Holy Spirit, you gave the Carmelite, Titus Brandsma the courage to affirm human dignity even in the midst of suffering and degrading persecution. Grant us that same spirit so that, in refusing all compromise with error we may always and everywhere give coherent witness to Your abiding presence among us. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen

    Kind regards
