New Institute of Christ the King Parish in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

On 1 July 2019, Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus, Bishop David Zubik, Bishop of Pittsburgh, established Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish, and entrusted its care to Canon William Avis and Canon John O'Connor, priests of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.

On Sunday, 7 July 2019, Canon Matthew Talarico, Provincial Superior of the Institute and a native of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, offered Solemn Mass for the External Solemnity of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus.

The weekly Traditional Latin Mass schedule at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish is:

Monday-Friday 12 noon

In addition Tuesdays & First Fridays 7:00 PM

Sundays 8:00 AM & 11:00 AM

Holy Days 7:00 PM (Consult bulletin to confirm all Mass times.)

Confessions heard before all Masses.

Based on published reports, the following Traditional Catholic orders will ordain 37 new priests during the months of June & July 2019.

The break down is as follows:

Society of Saint Pius X: 13

Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter: 16

Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest: 7

Institute of the Good Shepherd: 1
